This course introduces students to the structure of the human body and its function. The course begins with the basics of human anatomy including anatomical terminology, planes of the body and terms of direction and orientation, basic tissue type. And the general view of the human skeleton and major body muscle groups. The physiology components apply the fundamental principles of physics and chemistry to the understanding of the body’s function and regulatory mechanisms. It also analyses the mechanisms involved in producing a healthy body and explains what goes wrong in disease states. This course aims to introduce the students to the basic structures of the human body and their function.
